BooJ Collective BooJ Collective This septet play contemporary jazz in a high-spirited and uptempo way which will appeal to both younger people and a wider audience. The inclusion of a vocalist, which has been negotiatd with the band, will increase that too. As a more recently-formed band, and comprising new graduates, a realstic professional fee was agreed. This also has to reflect rising travel costs. The venue is keen to host this innovative music and to open up its user community. Vocals: Abi Flynn DETAILS: A modern ensemble made up largely from members of the BUBB - the University of Bristol's auditioned Big Band & Jazz Ochestra, which mixes jazz, funk and modern classics. This smaller lineup features players who are passionate about the music they play comprising a wide ranging, challenging and fun repertoire.
