DESCRIPTION
Jo Fong is a director, choreographer and performer working in dance, film, theatre, opera and the visual arts. Jo has worked with National Theatre Wales, National Dance Company Wales, Welsh National Opera and is, according to Luke Jennings of The Observer, ‘something of a legend on the UK contemporary dance scene.' Her making process involves people, movement, dance, listening, observing, music and words. The shows she creates are open ended, playful, poignant and about this moment. As the work evolves the list of people involved keeps growing. There are too many names to mention although we would like to thank them all for their generous contribution. Jo’s work has been selected for British Dance Edition, the British Council Edinburgh Showcase and awarded by Wales Theatre Awards, National Critic’s Circle Dance Awards and Creative Wales. Created with support from Arts Council Wales, British Council, EU Culture, Sherman Cymru, Chapter, Diverse Actions, Rubicon Dance and Coreo Cymru.
